Anyone fished in Rosarito?

I'm taking the fam to Rosarito at a airbnb beach house. This is our first time there, I was wondering if anyone tried surf fishing there, I read that you don't need a license for surf fishing in Mexico, can anyone confirm?

Thanks

Correct - you only need a fishing license if on a boat/kayak/etc

I have surf fished there many times without a license and as far as I know you do not need a license to fish from shore. Haven't been in 3 years though. Maybe call a local hotel to be sure? Pretty good surf fishing down there too. Almost every time I was there, never more than a few people fishing and wide open Surf Perch this time of year.

Take some silver crocodile lures and wire leader. Most fish will take it.

Wire leader keeps the sierra from stealing your lures.

They are not line shy.

Tight lines.

Not sure when you are going, but a selection of Kastmasters is always good in the mexico surf. I found these on wish and for $3 shipped are a great deal. Of course Wish takes time, to get here. Sized from 3 gr - 40 gr, gives you a wide window, depending on the fish that are hitting and the distance you need to cast.

We were down there a couple years ago, and the beach was super flat. I could stand waist deep, 50 yards in to the surf. And at low tide, we had and extra 75 yards of sand to play on.
