Here's my 33lb butt. Head, tail, and fins all frozen the way it was stuffed into the cooler. A BIG thank you to Todd Groessl....he offered to take me to weigh-in because there was no way I was going to make it in on time with the crowd on the beach. Thanks also to Kiyo and John for staying back and watching my yak on the beach the whole time, and to Gabe for bringing me back. We ended up missing the awards ceremony and had nothing to eat but some pieces of pie. Gabe took care of our empty bellies by spending some of your money on us!
OH yes, and thanks to Adi for encouraging me to do that last drift! We were paddling around in circles talking about Gabe's big butt and I said I was ready to go in, but he said it's better to catch a big one then meet weigh-in empty handed. Despite dreaming of that great long relief of a piss I had to take, I did that last drift...AND for the record I was yelling at you that I was hooked up but you seemed to be in your own F'n world!! |

Awsome Grego! Would have been a winner if it weren't for Gabe's use of the supernatural help!
Congrats to both of you on awesome catches! |

Congrats Grego!
Curious, did you bring this in on your X-13? How did the boat do while fighting the butt from the depths? |

Yes, on the X-13...yak did fine, didn't get any more tippy than any other yak when it went balistic after the gaff...yak has a nice yellow, nice wsb, nice butt...and now I need a nice Mr. T to make this a bonifide fishing yak.

Hell Greg no wonder you slammed the hali. With help from Adi and Todd, those two alone account for 90% of the toad hali's caught in LJ. You were in good company - congrats.
