Had an awesome 1st time experience Saturday. Found the gps coordinates for the reefs and set out for it at 7am. Kinda found the area as I have no real idea what to look for on my fish finder. So once it went from flat bottom to all kinds of stuff on screen then I guessed I was there. So tossed swimbaits and landed a PB sand bass within minutes. (I'll try to post pics) Few mins later hooked up on a nice Calico. But then wind hit hard and I couldn't find the spot again as I kept drifting further out to sea. Headed back to fish breakwall as I was the only craft out there lol. Caught several small calicos on the inside of wall, then caught 1 keeper calico which I kept for dinner. Wind died down and I was tempted to go back to reef, but headed back in to fish the reef another day. But fun didn't stop there as I tossed 3" swim baits around docs and caught PB spotty! Also caught more small spotty before I called it. I found my new fishing spot for sure.
