So Seigler has had some legal name changing hurdles. They were Release, than Truth.

Crazy stopping power Bob. 30# of drag

They look like a quality product, for sure. You can see from the high-res photos that they are a well machined reel.

BUT....12' rod? Of course it can cast a jig 700'...he's launching it with a damn catapult. LOL

Thanks for the update Andy! Stoked to see you guys carrying these high quality reels. I know a few guys that have been using these(Release/Truth, Seigler) for a while and they are very happy with them. Lite, strong and easy to maintain. I've been debating between the SS and SG for a little while now.

We are not currently stocking the fly reels, but can order any and all of the Seigler reels. If there is enough interest in the fly reels we will certainly start having them on hand.

This one is mine! Been waiting for the right reel for this Custom Calstar 800L I have had for awhile. Paired with the Seigler SG.

So, if you run straight 120# spectra to a 6xJr and give it 30# of drag when you hookup, will you (a) straighten the hooks, or (b) go straight over the rail?

I love their reels, but I am curious as to why they are on their 3rd name change...
