Mako Bob Update

Hey Everyone

I spoke with Bob today and he sounded great however he got some bad news. Turns out he has a blood infection or fungus in his blood and Bob was admitted for 5 weeks to a recovery center a couple blocks from the hospital for treatment. He didn't sound bummed out at all, just wanted to make sure he had his computer and some other reading material. I don't know the name of the center where he will be or any other information yet... Bob said he would call me tomorrow. Hopefully I can get more accurate information on his condition and pass along, I think there might be some confusion. This recovery center will also work with him on getting his diabetes under control and help his foot heal too.

Keep Bob in your thoughts.

Thanks for the post.

I think it is a good thing that they found out about the infection now and will be able to do something about it.

It undetected, it could have been dangerous if he was in Baja alone.

since the hot months are coming, he will have time to heal and be ready for October.

Best wishes for speedy recovery.

Thanks for the update Sivak.

Unfortunately that's worse news than I expected but hopefully they can get Bob on track and were he needs to be health wise.

From Mr. Bob, he sounds great. Actually when does the guy EVER not sound positive. He is getting good care and will be there for about 5 weeks until they get him running 100%

Makobob update

Here I sit at Vista Knolls, a nursing facility. I am in room 212 bed A sitting here sipping antibotics once a day for the next 4-5 WEEKS. Oh well it could and would have been worse if not for SDROB, dude YOU saved my life when you threw me into my truck and bolted for the border. Rob got me home and my wife Candy called 911 and it was off to the races. Urinary tract infection on going for 5 months, and foot infection along with 6 days in the hot Baja sun for a little dehydration all contributed to another heart attack.

So here in the facility they will work on killing the nasties in my blood stream, healing the ulcers on the feet and totally stablize the diabetes, insulin here I come. I got complacent, and ignored some indicaters, I KNEW better, just having too much fun in paradise. Hope to see you all soon, AFTER I catch up on what has happened on BWE in the last MONTH. Tight Lines and thank you all for your prayers and well wishes.

By this weekend feel free to call me here at 760 560 1261. Thank you.

Mako.

Did you hear about the fungus that went on a blind date? It didn't work out, the chick dumped the fungus before the date ended. When asked by a friend what happened, the fungus replied, "I don't understand, I thought I was a fun guy?"

Hurry up and get better Bob! We need you! Yanni
