Thanks for posting

Nice fish.

I would not get on that six pack, but I applaud his effort.

LOL! Basically, anywhere in LA County could be considered at my doorstep. What I will divulge is that there's more bait in the water than I've ever seen. I ran across at least 10 large bait balls with lots of bonito blowing up on them. I didn't have my FF so couldn't tell you if there were any yellows on it. Also had a school of grunion blow up in front of me. With the grunion running this week and the amount of bait in the water and good tides, its time to hit the water guys!!

Congrats on Fish!!! I can tell you all this much as far as bait this past Sunday out of NPH. There was none!!! I watched and tried for and hour and nada. Even watched PB's drift all around for over and hour only to head to bait barge and get scoops.

They wouldn't take anything but live bait on light line and a thin wire hook. I threw wax wings, stick baits and irons.

Nice fish. If you don't mind me asking, what rod and reel did you get your yellow on? Like a 200 size reel?

I concur since rat yellowtails are often caught from the Redondo Breakwall with frozen anchovies or shrimps.
