Free Sonar Lessons....

.... from a 5 year old.

I can't really catch largemouth very well, but I do know a future bassmaster when I see one.

He's got floppy hat and sunglasses but he refuses to wear them so his dad is forced to drench the grom repeatedly in SPF haha

Man, that takes me back. When I was a kiddo, my dad would take me and my little bro fishing. Little bro always lost interest fast, so he would start falling in the brook accidentally on purpose and scaring all the trout

Looks like a great time for you guys.

I guess I should include some report/info so this post can stay in reports.

Sunday San V was not that crowded. 65 degrees on the surface and about 15' viability in the water. I saw lots of bass in the trees and under shallow cover. I fished swim baits and senkos on drop shot. Never got a single bite. Guys who were fishing with shiners were killing it, as always. Even though I suck at bass fishing, I haven't yet stooped low enough to use live bait on largemouth. Maybe I'll get there after a couple more skunks haha.

My son turns 25 this year. I have a photo of him in a rental boat at San V hoisting up a big bluegill 20 years ago.

I have never fished fin bait for em, but crawdads are fun and plenty to be had in the creeks around SD. I remember another rental boat day at Miramar, I must have hooked and handed a dozen LMB to my son who thought he caught em all
