Thanks for the share and insight! Very authentic as-stated, not your traditional Mex-American Dish, will try for sure!

Trolling for popularity and praise? LOL!!! It's called business! Yanni is trying to start up an electronic cook book website from which all California fisherman will benefit. He has permission from all fishing websites to post his recipes. On some of those websites he is required to post at least once a month and on Lets Talk Hookup Yanni is required to call in twice a month and talk about his new recipes. If you had attended the Fred Hall Show, you would have seen that he was a guest speaker for Bloody Decks who set him up with a booth where he shared his amazing new recipes.

Yanni doesn't need to troll for popularity.
Too late for that! He's already popular. Very likely the recipes on the net came from him. Way to go Yanni. That's some good stuff. This is how we always prepare our fish. So simple, and so good, especially if you have a fish that's lean. Keep em coming brotha. Cheers. -JJ- |

All I know is that I caught my first ever yellowtail (went 2 for 2 ) on the TBird sunday....and Yanni's recipes were so good. And simple. I have never had to break down a larger fish like that before let alone cook it. And it was very straight forward going to his website and finding what looked good and making it happen.
Used the wahoo sushi bowl recipe for the rice and sauce to toss the yellowtail in and modified the rest a bit for a great poke bowl. And his recipe for preparing and grilling the collars turned an intimidating process into an easy task. And it was so good. Last edited by DPevin; 04-05-2017 at 09:37 AM. Reason: Photos |
