Anyone try Lake Perris

I've never fished only boated and jetski back in 2000. But has anyone tried fishing there? I know they stock trout, there are bass, bluegill and large catfish out by the dam. I was thinking of trying it for a few hours this Sunday and would appreciate any tips. Going for trout but will cast for bass a bit. Thanks

Haven't fished it for about a year. Last time I was there the water level was still way down. I fished the east end with some pretty good success on both drop-shots and wacky. There is a lot of pressure on those fish on the weekends so avoid the crowded areas. Good luck
