Slow HH Harbor but Managed a Legal
The fishing was slow.. water was 70 and full of micro bait. I thought I had the bite figured out before I got there. Stuck to throwing A-rig with micro swimbaits on it and tossed a underspin jighead with a 3.5" keitech swimbait. Started under the bridge and was casting the underspin. Hooked a smaller spotty but he dove for cover into the rocks. Got on top of him hoping to lift him out of his hole without risking shredding my line and losing my new lure but no such luck the bait quickly rose up empty handed. Couldn't believe that I didn't find any love on the drop shot rig today with how slow it was. That method is usually guaranteed to work. Did manage this guy on the underspin a little while later and a Mackerel on the A-rig. Off the water by 2:15 and headed home to find my dog finally relaxing and not trying to rip her ears off. |
