10/09/2016 Havasu Slam benefiting HOW

We are holding a tournament Oct 9 (Sunday). It's Columbus Day weekend so most people should have Monday off to travel. Legal species will be striper, catfish, large and smallmouth bass. Entry fee will be $25. Lake Havasu is just over 4 hrs from OC. Once I get an idea of how many out of town participants (Phoenix chapter of HOW is coming as well) I will get a block of rooms discounted at a hotel. We are starting a new HOW chapter here and this is our fundraiser to get the equipment we need to get started! Please email martintoomeyfishing@gmail.com to pre-register or for more info! Thanks, tight lines and hope to see y'all here in OCT!

Thanks guys! Glad to have y'all coming over! If you're confirmed for sure paypal the registration fee ($25) to bettystoys@gmail.com...do it as friends and family so we don't get charged and in the notes put HOW. Then if you could email me your info to mohavevalleyaz@heroesonthewater.org This way I can start getting a count and get the area reserved

I put the invite out to some friends and family, hoping to get a good group fishing a couple days prior and the day of tournament as well. Will keep you posted and will sign up as soon as I am rock solid on how many going.

October Havasu

I was thinking about heading out there in October. This might just be the excuse I need.

Awe Dangit.
We are not going to make the Havasu Tourney.
Our plans have changed and we will be in Mammoth that weekend.

If you're interested in coming out and need a hotel room you may want to book soon as that weekend is also the jet ski finals. Quality Inn will probably be the easiest, has the most rooms and centrally located.

Martin,

Was nice meeting your crew, glad you guys got things off to a good start. We had fun, heat wore us out and fishing was tough with a hand full of bass between my wife and I, she got the big fish honors the day before the tournament with a nice small mouth on a crank bait. Fun get away!
