New to BWE

Hello Fellow Anglers,

I would like to introduce myself to all members. My name is Steve and I am new to the forum and the sport. I have been eyeing the forum for a few months now and have learned a lot from all of your posts. The videos, discussions and pictures are all awesome and I look forward to catching my own sometime soon. I am currently in the search for a kayak and would love your thoughts. As a student nurse, funds are limited therefore my price range is between 500-800. I plan to fish the harbors and of course the open ocean. I can't wait to get my kayak and hope to fish and develop some memories with some of you. FISH ON!!!

It might be a little high initially, but i recommend hobie with mirage drive. I have an outback and prefer it over my Trident. You can probably pick up a used one for $800. Good luck

Welcome Steve, I'm relatively new to this site and kayak fishing also. and really new to the ocean scene. I'm having fun though, I would rather be fishing than most anything else except maybe following my bird dog, but that season is about to end so it will be all fishing for a few months. Keep an eye on the sale page on BWE, I see some good deals go by on kayaks every so often. If you have time go by OEX and try out some different kayaks, they are great people to deal with. The people who post on here are really helpful, they don't give you all their secrets but they do get you started in the right direction.

Autrout, thank you for the recommendation, If I can get a Hobie for the right price, I will be on it.

Harry thanks, I will need to check out OEX. It would be great to try out different kayaks and get a feel for what works best for me. I will definitely have to pick everyone's brain for tips and tricks. Thanks again

DEE...FISH ON!!!

Click on "forum", then click on "buy, sell, or trade" board.

I have one for sale there too.

Look for Malibu Xfactor, posted by Mahigeer.

Welcome! It's a cool feeling to see a fellow nurse who also gave into the kayak addiction.

Mahigeer, I finally found it, as well as the ad tacmik, that's a good looking kayak. I will definitely keep it in mind. My goal right now is to try out a few kayaks and really get a feel of what works best for me.

Thanks for your input fellas

Thanks for looking into it.

Good luck in Nursing School. My wife will be retiring soon as a nurse.

Great profession. Should be paid more!
