bad launch in the surf

Saw this on Facebook, I don't know how old it is or if it's been on here before. This guy is having a hard time of it.

Perfect example of why you SHOULD NEVER stand between your kayak and the beach

That started out kinda funny, got pathetic, then got a bit scary. That guy had NO place being any where near a surf launch. He couldn't even stand up let alone control his boat. I got a feeling both the second and third guy may have never even paddled a kayak before cause it looked like they didn't know their left from right. I hope no one makes this guy's mistake. Mike

I've been in rough surf before where in no time at all I was so tired I could hardly stand. It happens fast. I think you really need to be careful because that ocean isn't too forgiving.

I was a little nervous opening that as I was sure one of you guys had video taped ME

I guess what bothered me watching it was that someone was filming it rather than helping the guy, he could have been seriously hurt.

Ask Tony. He will probably just keep filming. How else will everybody know how not to do it.

The comments in youtube indicate that the one who filmed was disabled

Cooler looked empty. Could be because he drank all the beer before he launched. Or tried to.

Another reason why launching DRUNK is a bad idea.

was this really you? Where did this happen? I was landing my kayak in a fresh water lake the other day and stepped into a hole and immediately went from ankle deep water to waist deep and falling backwards dragging the kayak with me. It happens fast in water, and I was stone cold sober.

There are no bad launches or landings, just good opportunities to learn what not to do.

It doesn't take much to flip a kayak.

It would be fun to make one of these videos on purpose

Don't forget the dorsal fins circling in the background.
