MLPA's

Does anyone know of a chip type navigation add on for Lowrance that shows the MLPA's here in S.Ca?

Don't need them on a chip. Set each boundary marker as a waypoint on your GPS/FF. They can be found with their GPS coordinates at www.dfg.gov or in the annual saltwater fishing guide you pick up at most tackle shops. You can zoom out and draw an imaginary line from one to another and watch to see if your kayak tracks across the line. I'm sure that Navionics might include them on some of their chips in the future, but for now I think the way I recommended is the easiest.

MLPA SUCKS BUTT by the way!

My CHIRP 5 navionics shows the MLPA's only complaint is the lines are REALLY thin red ones.

You dont even need a chart card to get them. There is a post on bloody decks that you can download the gpx file for all MLPA lines in CA. Plug your sd card (doesnt have to be navionics or anything) into the computer and upload the files to the SD card then easy to transfer to lowrance unit

The gold map chip has it. It's a thin red line, but you can zoom in to know if you're good or not.
