Yard sale/ Fish report

Waves were small at launch time and some how I managed to lose gear. Unfortunately for me as I was paddling out I did not a was wave came towards me just then I realized one of my leashes was wrapped around my paddle. I knew I as dead in the water, needless to say the yak turned side ways and as I jumped off the was caught by the wave and the yak flipped in 3 feet of water.

If you found a DIY sabiki rod, VHF radio or a nice set plier/cutters please let me know.

Fishing was slow for us we caught a few greenies and a bunch of Spanish macks. We saw a couple of boils, I paddled to towards them with a lively greenie, but no love. Still looking for my first yellow in La Jolla.

Sorry to hear that. I'm a newbie and I am paranoid about losing gear in the surf. Especially on the way in. I breakdown, wrap, leash, and secure everything coming in.

I am good about tying stuff down! I just got complacent yesterday, lesson learned.
