My wife and I are seriously thinking of relocating to New Zealand. Has anyone here ever fished the east coast of NZ, Northland? I assume that it is a great fishing destination, but first hand knowledge is the greatest! Besides, the MLPA is a little more reasonable there!

You might as well just come straight to Australia as most of the New Zealanders move here. To answer your question the fishing is excellent all over NZ.
