I have a super hot girlfriend but she doesn't like to take pics so you'll have to take my word for it.

Btw, she bought me a 5 new Avet reels but she doesn't want me to use them, she says they're to cute to use so I should just leave them on the mantle right next to my balls.

Just an easy tip, expect those filets to go bad pretty quick if you seal with the skin on, take it off before you seal and pat off with a paper towel. Congrats on the fish.

Relax, KK...when fishing slows down..."T" levels go up. Would you rather be reading these New Thread Topics:
  • "Weather is bad, I did not go out..."
  • "No fishing for me...I'm waiting for my kayak to get repaired and returned to me
  • "On call ALL weekend and could not fish"
  • Kayak Pants (sorry my friend Buddah, lol)

Every once in a while, a thread shows up and it's like a bunch of turd rollers each grabbing onto the unsuspecting Octopus' arms...arms, not tentacles...National Geographic Channel- 5-20-15. I'm currently researching this crab/lobster naming thing. But I digress...these turd rollers each begin spinning to break off their piece until the BWE police arrive...Adi shows up at some point and puts us all in our place or closes the thread. Ummm...Adi? Adi? where's Adi? No squid for almost two years and he goes into shutdown mode? ADI!? Jim

Don't make it more complicated than it needs be. You can usually find bait between the resesrve bouy and where the kelp line bends to the south. Green macs are preferred for the reasons other have mentioned. Spanish work too and i find they live better in the tank. I've caught yt, Cali's, n halibut on smelt when that's all I had. "Spots" are more critical in the winter when yt are more deeper water structure oriented. We're coming in to our fun season. Look for working birds, obviously, but birds just staying in an area or even 1 tern flying slowly, hovering, and looking is good too. Or find bait and hang out near it with a fly line out. Have the surface iron rod lock n loaded and handy. Lastly in the general advice column; stay away from the big party boats. You don't need them to show you where the fish are and they do us a huge favor by pulling ever dog around right to their sterns. Mike

We did a few with skin on to go on the BBQ in the next few days. The rest is all skin off. Thanks
