Thanks Bob and Brandon.
I have 4-5 of each of the Rapalas & in different colors, they're part of my LR multi-day trip kits. I'll have to check into large Crocs. I assume the same wire for Wahoo [single strand (48#+) and multi-strand] will work for these trips? FFY |

Any of the guys who are going, or wanting to, an easy tool is to subscribe to this thread via email. If anytime someone posts to the thread, you will get an instant email. Any of you first timers to Baja kayak fishing and pick this trip, it will definitely keep you coming back. Makobob and robmoney have a real paradise down in gonzaga with awesome fishing and a great time. You will not be disappointed with either. I owe much gratitude to bob and rob for the constant invites down to fishing paradise. Cannot thank you both enough for the knowledge and hospitality. 🍻

My best advise it to bring lot of them with a least 24" to 36" wire leaders Those sierra were a blast but they took a lot of my silver/chrome |

My experience is the fish bite on anything and everything in Baja.
If you have a set up that you're really comfortable throwing jigs and own several jigs, bring that, you'll do well. If on other hand you use swimmers like rapala, waxwings etc, bring that set up and use it. You'll have a 100 fish day. If the fly is what you excel with, you can't lose. What I'm trying to say is, "fish the same way, same rig, same technique, and same lures that works best for you here, and you have unbelievable days there". Last year I made five lures from metal crate straps, and lost all but one to fish. They were crummy workmanship and looked awful. Just get your favorite type of lure in the water and hold on to your rod. Do it your way and you'll have excellent days with sore arms. Then you'll have plenty of time to rest your arms from all that pulling while learning a new technique from others down there with you.

The last trip in October last year was a once in a lifetime trip for those lucky to go last year. Just ask them how good it was and you probably will not believe it. |
