1st Time Fred Hall Show Report- What did i see?

Got there @12:20 entered the convention center @ 1:

I SAW Plenty of these:

and more of these:

then i went to go buy a tor 16 for like $209 and i went to the shimano booth and saw this :

so then i went to get a rod and a spool

Gamakatsu(or however u spell it) hooks had buy 2 get one free just show your receipt at the gamkatsu booth

he did not have any more 25pks aside from 1/0 25 pack so he gave me two 4/0 instead and a 25pk of 1/0

and renewed my subscription to western outdoor news

they gave me free 25lb spool and pliers for renewing

went to go sign up for the lowrance class, and found out how to record my sonar and update my maps and fine tune the thing.

and went to pick up my free jigs

Saw Andy and steve at Oex from a distance as i was wondering how i ended up spending so much money

and i remember that Roby told me last year that if i ever get ahold of any real shimano lures to frame them because they cost alot.

(usually just buy knockoffs)

then i said good bye to these

thats all i remember

and parking was 10 dollars

It was super packed yesterday. Got there around 1:30, line at Turners was ridiculous. After waiting what seemed forever I got a Sealine X for $89.00.

Yesterday was insane! I'm already out of a lot of merch. I'm having some last minute printing done to accommodate the weekend crowd. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new people. 4 more days!

Those flat falls are worth the hype. Hooked 4 yellowtail on the Cortez bank last weekend in the middle of that storm. 2 on the fall 2 on the wind.

I spent a lot of money as well, still fun walking around and checking stuff out. Didn't see any out of the world deals really but it was nice stocking up on iron & baits since every fish shop in town is sold out it seems.

My Dad used to take me and my brother every year back when it was held at the "Pan Pacific Auditorium". After it was closed they moved it to the old L.A. Convention center. Way back then they used to give away some free stuff to the first 250-500 kids under 12 each day. Amazingly I still have a free Plano tackle box from one of those shows from back in the '60's.
As an adult I've made it a habit to stay away unless I had at least $300 to blow on stuff because there were always soo many specials , this was before I worked at Art's Tackle (back in the '80's) then I volunteered to work the show a few times for various Companies .
Since then I can only remember attending just a handful of times (the last time was in the mid-'90's).
It's really easy to spend a bundle or max out a credit card or two at these shows!
