Last Sunday the greenbacks were deep, 120-140 areas holding between 60 and 100. Some were deeper.

Does bait tend to disappear around this time of year? Historically speaking? Tried Santa Barbara last week and bait was non existing which was very odd.

There is a bit of bait out there. Def not thick like the summer, but still hanging around.

Yup. Still learning to dial it in. The auto setting does a pretty good job, but I'm having some difficulties emulating screen shots I have seen on the web.
I'm completely open to all advice on the settings.
The GEN3 came out yesterday, supposedly faster processor, and blue tooth added.

fin bait? we don't need no stinkin fin bait

why would you want it now? trying to attract pinnipeds? squish or jig all the way. its the most wonderful time of the year... imho

btw - hoped you dropped a jig - looks like may have been more than just bait there in that screen shot.

From the screenshot, it looks like he was bouncing a jig thru there

March 2015 is the release date for the Gen 3's.
The HDI 50/200 455/800 will give you your CHIRP I believe.
This transducer will work in the GEN II Touch units as well, straight plug in.
You will have High, Medium and Low CHIRP with this ducer.
