Last Money Between Friends for 2014

I'm contributing to our kayak addiction by hosting a MBF Kayak event on Dec. 6th this coming Saturday at the Bahia Hotel at the end of the circle parking lot. $15 buy in for the heaviest sack of any (3) bass. There will be an additional $5 jackpot for the biggest bass too. All fish must be released alive, so bring your bait tanks. No live bait may be used, fishing the bait barge is off limits, there are no boundaries other than bait barge…so you can try to catch big calico's if you like. Event starts at 6am, weigh-in at the Bahia sand is at 1:00PM.
Anyone is more than welcome to attend.

I will be bringing my grill and some hot dogs. Please bring a side dish to share with the participating kayakers. For those that have responded to my Facebook invite, thank you.

Here is the list of folks that will be fishing:
1. Kirk G.- chips/dip
2. Andy (iceman)- Mama's Texas beans
3. Cody- more beans:O)
4. Derwin C.- drinks
5. Kyle C.- more drinks
6. ______ Chang- drinks
7. Ed Howerton-?
8. Nancy O.- hot dogs

*Pending folks*
-Margarita Mike-
-Mark Kleiter
-Michael Mikitka

-

First place for heaviest sack takes: Fastland T-shirt, Spottie plaque, and pot of cash.
Jackpot is optional for $5, big toad takes $5 pot.

See you guys in the sand, I'll be at the lot at 5:00 am.

Update...

Cj- it would be awesome if you can make it.

JeffB- watch out kids, cause it's gonna be a good event. Appreciate you coming Jeff.

Dennis- good luck with closing and landing the home: I know how stressful being in your shoes can be…if you don't show up, then maybe next time.

So thank you all for replying, there will be plenty of hot dogs to go around and someone mentioned that we might be getting a little drizzle too, so bring your slickers.

Nice to meet you all in real life, even if I didn't make it out in time to fish with you this morning.

Good luck with your move, CJ.

Thanks again to the folks that came out to fish at Mission Bay and also for bring a side dish to share. We couldn't have asked for better weather and that monster tide. Of the 14 kayak anglers that played, Jeff took home the biggest bag with 5.1 lbs. winning $210, Fastlane T-shirt and spottie plaque. Ed Howerton won biggest fish jackpot with a 1.12 lb. fish/$65.

Additional weigh-in numbers of those that weighed in 3 fish.
Kerry P. 5.0lbs with 1.11lbs big fish
Ed H. 4.15lbs with 1.12lbs
Kirk G. 4.10 lbs. with 1.10lbs

2 fish Weigh-in
Hobie Tom 3.1 lbs.
Nancy O. 3.0 lbs with 1.11lbs big fish

1 fish weigh-in
Kyle C. 1.7lbs

Nice meeting you Chris, as you can see…..one can learn by sharing fishing tales. Especially avoiding them sculpins.

Best of luck to you and your family with the upcoming move CJ.

Tight lines as always
