Oceanside on Saturday/Sunday?

Planning to launch out of Oceanside Harbor around 6:00A, off the water by 2:00P at the latest.

I'll be solo this trip, so I don't plan on going too far offshore, maybe just out to Oceanside 2-1C through 2-4C... unless some of you adventurers care to join me.

I'm booked Saturday but if conditions are right I might be open to going sunday. Where do you launch from? The boat launch or the yak/SUP launch?

I usually launch from the dock just north of the Mini Pier. The congestion and parking at the launch ramps is ridiculous sometimes.

Thats the kayak/SUP launch, I normally launch there too as the boat launch is a circus in the mornings.

Oceanside 2-1c

Can you give me an idea of where that area is ? I'm kind of a noob at fishing off Oceanside.

He is talking about artificial reef 2 which is north of the harbor mouth. The reef is spread out 2-1c and 2-4c are points that make up the reef itself. Reef 2 is more spread out than 1 which is south of the harbor. Hope this helps

Surf could be a little brutal. 5' on Friday dropping a little over the weekend but the surge may take effect.

Post your session. I haven't heard anything good here in a while.
