if you have the 50/200 ducer you have to grind down the bolt hole to fit it inside the PA hull opening.....you dont need the bolt or bushings, it just sits in their......grind it down little by little to get a snug fit.

Sorry your.... wrong! HDS standard 50/200 will fit perfectly no modification necessary. 50/200 HDi does require some modification.

Post a picture of the issue and I'm sure someone around here will try to help.

Tony is right, the 50/200 transducer for the HDS-5 fit perfectly, no dilling, no grinding, no melting, lubing, gooping, filing, sanding, etc, etc. required.

I have been adding an extra thru hull wire fitting for my installs on the new models and the HDS.

Elite 7 is not hds. It is either hdi or a smaller ducer for the regular elite 7. But elite is not HDS

do you have a HDS or the Elite 7?

You should not need the extra thru-hull fittings if you have the HDS unit

Use a 1" spade bit and drill a second hole and use another Hobie grommet for the second wire. You should have one connector coming from the xducer and another from the battery. All 3 wires will not fit any of the hobie grommets.
