For sale: Used Hobie Pro Angler Vantage seat

Got this from my buddies PA which melted when his garage caught on fire. I donated some gear to him and he gave me the chair. I had the intention of upgrading my Outback with this seat but never got around doing it. I just bought a house and had to get rid of my outback :/ I think Hobie catalog this for $700. I have no use for a $700 lawn chair.

$400 firm

Hey Boxturtle, did you doing any fitting to see how well the chair would fit on your outback and if so what mods were going to be necessary to fit the chair....

Care to share any details ??

Thanks

From what I seen you need to reinforce the hull with the same foam they use on the PA. Im only 150lbs so I dont think its going to be a problem. Anyting more then that it might cause a problem especially if you going over 170. The front leg fitting (where the front legs are secure looks pretty simple...I think the rear legs might need to go a lil to the back. Only problem is you might not be able to fit a hobie livewell. I was working on a center livewell. I have a prototype just need to test it. Everything fishing took a back seat when we got the house. Sucks but it's a the good type lol. Hopefully I could at least get one or two csttle boat trips this year. I can't complain after last years tuna run.

Hobie forum has a model of how it looks on the outback. Someone modified it to fit.
