Cardiff Sunday

Launched at Cardiff in the early afternoon with one rod and reel and a handful of plastics. Not much surf but lots of red tide. Worked outside the kelp up to Swamis. Hit lots of bass and caught a couple of nice sized calicos. Fishtraps in Channel Island 'Chovie worked the best. The bigger units bit close to the surface. Saw birds working about a mile out so joined the fray. Jumping mackeral and smelt but nothing bigger underneath. Pinned on a couple of macs for the paddle home but no takers. The wind died down and the sun finally broke through. Nice afternoon on the water and all fish released to swim another day.
