Totally agree with you Tom. My son and I have had their paddles since probably 2000 or 2001. My son broke his in the surf and sent pictures to them and they replaced it, I believe for the cost of shipping. I then noticed that mine was showing some wear at the joint and they repaired it with a new shaft with their new and improved connection system. Probably 7 years later I was getting some wear and play in the joint and sent them some pictures and they offered again to repair it for the cost of 2 way shipping and a nominal fee, or to sell me a new with yet a new generation of connection system at close to a 60% discount. I grabbed the new one. I figured after 14 years I deserve it.
I've told the story a couple times before on here but I always look for the opportunity to give them props Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

How would you compare them to Werner paddles?

I myself have not paddled with any other brands so I really can't compare them.I suspect that if you're going to do an apples to apples comparison that's probably not a lot of difference in performance. tThe after sales support that I get from bending branches is what has me hooked.

The aquabound (bending branches) are the lightest weight paddle Ive used. I used a werner on a paddle n fish after breaking a 1st gen aquabound carbon shaft on launch. I like the ultralight paddles best personally. werners have a bit more beef. All in your preference.
