Jorge, I have always said that peaceful resolutions are what make us a civil people. I would have recommended that you explain to him, Canoeing is a paddle sport in which you kneel or sit facing forward in an open-decked canoe, and propel yourself with a single-bladed paddle, under your own power. Kayaking is a similar activity in a kayak which usually has a closed deck and is propelled with a double bladed paddle. In a kayak the paddler typically sits with legs extended forward. The hobie pedal system might blow ones mind when getting into the intricicacies of it all so I would leave this explanation out. I know you have a lot of inner anger my friend, but take it out on the fish and not the neighbor. Let you inner Zen out Jorge, ommmmm

I would have reminded him that you already packed your fanny-pack including plenty of sunscreen and bubblegum lip balm.

Well, at least you didn't try to LIE to him and tell him that you were going fishing..........

Fishing would imply that you had a chance of catching fish........

Two fish.

As far as I am concerned I went for a canoe paddle and lunch with some friends.
