Should be just fine. Do consider trading the 'ducer for the H'bird plastic thru-hull model. They offer a free swap as long as the package 'ducer hasn't been used. The thru-hull is the snits, except that it doesn't give the water temp. Yes, it requires you to drill a 2" hole in the hull, but it seals perfectly even without goop - and I added goop to mine.

Hold on, hold on...not sure why would you punch a 2" hole into your hull for a FF you pretty much know nothing about? Couldn't you set up the transducer within your hull...no hole? Maybe go to OEX and get some free pro advice first. Jim
