LJ 12-14-13

Off work by 8am and OTW by 10
Forgot how easy we have it when the launch is open, got a little work out in getting to the beach. Need some bigger yak wheels! Anywhoo...

Perfect day, <1ft at the beach, glassy, and no crowd. Had a box of squid and bait was easy to find. Good size spanish and greenbacks. Couldnt find live squid. Lots of bait balls around, hit them with an iron for no takers. fly-lined a green. Hit some rock fish spots up and caught a few good size ones but let them go since I have a freezer full of them already. LOTS of whales too.
Left the water by 430. I'll find them next time

This tournament is a lot of work! Up all night designing ads, website material, spread sheets...ugh! People(jeorge) bitching about letter placement...I have to be on base in two hours clean shaven, and I have 3 finals this week. Fishing? What the hell is that?

well done, and timely

is the launch open ? since i upgraded to a pa , i had to get some new wheels . my other hobie wheels i was using for my revo were trashed . i over inflated them thinking that would help get across sand better . they ended up deformed . the new wheels are huge and rated for a loaded pa . maybe 250 lbs ? it is crazy the price they charged . i think about a dollar for every pound it can carry . so about 250 $ plus tax . insane , like everything else . hope this might help . not sure if you checked it out . good report . thanks

I was out at LJ on Sunday and saw the most porpoises in one place ever.

Didn't get any big bites but came home with a few sanddabs and my buddy caught a couple rockfish.

The launch was closed, but we launched from the end of Vallecitos.
