That video was taken by a buddy, Charlie S.
Whites are always out there, one of the reasons I bought a skiff

I guess if it's your day, not much you can do about it.

Passengers aboard a whale-watching boat off Dana Point enjoyed a rare great white shark sighting early Thursday afternoon, about three miles offshore http://www.petethomasoutdoors.com/20...ite-shark.html |

Great White migration patter...very interesting.
http://curiosity.discovery.com/quest...t-white-sharks Many shark attacks are reported in late November/Oct. Some surfers up north won't even go in the water in the month of October. Last edited by driftwood; 10-19-2013 at 08:37 AM. |

you don't need to worry. they aren't on a man hunt.

2X, You are much safer on the water than on our highways in Southern California. Enjoy the ocean!

Look, there are gws all over the place around here. San onofre is a confirmed spawning site (one of the only in the world). Don't fear it. Just don't go trick or treating as a tasty seal a mile or 3 off shore. You have a better chance of being killed or hospitilized while landing your yak and being impaled by your paddle than eaten by a shark. Or...live in fear, and quit catchin fish. Leaves more for me.

I carry a 6' tapered gaff with a 3" SS hook protected by a tube cover, he get's too close to me and I can 'spear' him in the nose with the bend of the gaff hook (if I'm not mistaken that's a sensitive part of the body) just like giving him a bloody nose!

How quickly we forget when we jump on our yack and push out into the big blue, that we are entering the food chain.
