Stolen Mirage Drive With Turbo Fins
2 weeks before I am slated to move, my garage was broken into in Fullerton. They stole a bunch of stuff including my Mirage Drive with Turbo Fins. If you all can keep an eye out that would be greatly apprecaited! |

Do you have a serial number we can look for?

Will do, Poxy. Good luck getting your fins back.
I have actually been checking online lately because a buddy got his Mirage drive w turbo fins stolen at the LJ launch two weeks ago when he went to get his car after fishing. He spent over $200 getting them repaired and upgrading to turbo fins the day before! Bummer. He went by the launch the next day and asked around about them. One of the kayakers on the beach said he'd just confronted someone stealing a paddle and some wheels that morning. This Saturday some fellow BWE members and I spotted a couple guys posted up at the launch looking very suspicious. Seems like this is something that's becoming more of a problem lately. When I am not fishing with a buddy, most people who are hanging out on the beach are super cool about looking after my stuff for a few mintues. Then I take whatever I can carry with me to the car - ususally mirage drive and a couple setups. |

No I do not have a serial number for the drive. Didn't know there was one.
I live in a place where we have shared garage space. The Neighbor left her garage open which in turn left mine open. So Frustrating! |

What a sh*tty thing to have to deal with. Im writting down serial numbers for all my stuff tonight. Its funny, the more popular this sport gets the more opportunists know the value of kayak gear and exactly what to target when they see stuff unattended. Im usually pretty trusting but when wade told me of the rash of thefts at the launch. .....smh

Here in CR it's a given. If given the opportunity it will be stolen. On that premise you never give them the chance. Law of the jungle.

What sucks is knowing that one of your neighbors is a thief

Yeah, it blows. I have insurance, and they did steal a bunch of other stuff so I will be making a claim.
To top it all off, there are video cameras that record 24X7, and the theives were caught on video coming in and out of my garage for about 30 minutes. Theives suck, and deserve what they get. I hope the cops are able to make use of the video and bust the F'rs. If anyone sees a pair on Craigslist or in a pawn shop, please let me know. They were stolen in Fullerton (North OC area). |

that guy is a surfer, white guy drives a smaller model silver tundra. you can catch him early in the morning rummaging through all the stuff people leave behind. Its kinda sad how irresponsible ppl are down there. That boat launch is full of items in the mornings.
