I'd go saltist. They use more metal. I've owned both and have to service the toriums much more. They aren't sealed as well as the daiwas. I like the drags better too.

I think the 30h is a little smaller reel than the torium 30. Try the 35h

Copy that. I notice the saltists are cheaper than the toriums. If its a better reel than shoot I'm on it. Ill def look more at the star drag also. I'm not into the lever drag especially when I have a fish hangin

Torium. Upgraded dog. Carbontex drags. Not really looking to get rid if it unless you have a hand on some avets or something else tempting...

I suggest buying a Seagate 30 or 40. It's got a lighter spool than the saltiest and its only $140 or so new... Best bang for your buck and fishes very well. Holds up under bigger fish as well. I landed a 57lb Bluefin on one this season and it keeps on keppin on....
