QUESTIONS
Comanche...Call the L.B Harbor patrol to get your answer...this is a kayak message board filled with a bunch of guys who know everything.
Typical quote..." well I really don't hit the islands myself but I heard they were open." If you have a question on DFW Regs. or open hooping areas, then call the specific agency to get the straight poop, don't rely on some knuckleheads version! That bad info could lead to confiscated gear or a ticket...either way... a ruined evening. Jim / Saba Slayer |

The larger they are, the louder they scream when they hit the hot water...its like you gotta sit on the lid until they calm down a bit. Here's my two biggies from last season...

lobster season is a love hate relationship for me....mostly hate...
I hate it when I take the time to get off work early cut bait, fight the traffic all the way to the beach...set up all my gear, load the hoops...make sure everything is in order, launch drop all my gear, wait an hour or two for dark..."Hey you! your in my spot!!! I never seen you here before..!!! Why don't you go somewhere else...." "No, Im not anywhere near your hoop nets!". All the while you see bubbles and glowing lights under your bouys...all night...then the first set comes up with lobsters...Great!...then.....The seals....then the divers....angry boaters...angry other kayakers...then nothing...go home pissed off say I'm never going to do it again....until next time... Lobster fishing = too much drama Shhh! remember don't tell anybody!!! This is our little secret!!!! Then the fun really starts..... Lobster fishing sucks!
