corrosion?

I was looking to buy a dive knife.But, being the gear junky that I am, I already have many knives. Can anyone tell me how salt water corrosion has effected their stainless steel knives? Particularly Leatherman brand?

I keep a promate blunt tip on me while otw. I've had it for 4 years now. note I said on me not on the kayak.

I'm probably just going to find a used dive knife on craigslist or the fancy knife they have at oex up.
