Fixed a Hole in My Wader

On the Islander trip this past summer the captain had to cut a hole in my waders to get to a treble hook that was in my calf. The items used for the fix came with the waders.

The pics below illustrate the process on how I patched the hole.

* I also gooped the outside of the waders where the patch was put in.

Just curious......why didn't you cut the patch to match the size of the area that was cutout?

If I remember correctly, the directions stated to cut the patch a quarter inch larger than the hole.

thank you

those are some nice waders . they look like they have extra protection at the friction points . what brand are they ? one other thing . what happens if i can't find the kit to waders ? do i contact manufacturer ? or is this something i might be able to purchase separately ? i know i have one decent hole , possibly a second . the supply repair kit probably handles only one repair kit .

The waders are from Hodgman. I don't think they make that exact model anymore.

If the holes are small just use goop.

If they are bigger just buy a kit from Amazon or Sport Chalet.
