I'm a fan of Unibutter. Seems to work pretty good on tha bass. I have also used Hotsauce but think I prefer the butter. I agree that it seems pretty often that you get bit right after a fresh dose on the bait. Somedays it makes a bigger difference than others too. Just my 2 cents.

Unibutter all the way. Slather the butter, and improve your catches not just your bites. The Uni helps the fish stay where others may not. Don't leave home without your Unibutter.

Unibutter is a killer scent, last longer in saltwater. It's the only scent that works though. Bang is another explosive scent company too. The crawfish scent is killer on the sandbass when they are feeding on crab like they are right now. Pro-Cure is another good one. I like to inject hallow baits with it.
But scent does make a huge difference with the fish are not aggressive. Plus I find that hold onto the bait just a little longer as well.

I'm with Andy on his suggestion... Bacon is nature's most perfect food item.
![]() But seriously, Unibutter is better than Hotsauce, and Procure Sardine and Krill are great as well. |

Hot Sauce for me. I'm not sure if any of them is the best. The key is what works for you. Try butter and sauce and see which one you like.

K Y Gel..although scentless, they slide off the hook easier for release.
