Hobie Pro Angler 14

Anyone ever put a locking device for the front hatch on the PA 14? I'm just wondering because launching from LJ especially where u have to leave your kayak and park your car and coming back to leave your kayak to fetch your car. Sometime there could be no fellow kayakers around to help watch your stuff. and I know most kayakers have ff, gopros, MIRAGE DRIVES!!! expensive reels that they carry that they might not want to expose...Im just saying that would be nice if hobie can put some kind of a locking hinge on the future pa

Thats a good idea. I dont know if they would be able to get locking mechanisms that dont rust but if they can then great idea! That would suck if it rusted and you couldnt unlock it.

Great idea!!!

That's why I carry my wheels when I fish solo.

Check Westmarine, I'm sure they'll have something that you can work with.

There's some people that unload those high ticket items as they go to pick up their car. You can load those last when your dropping of your kayak as well.

It shouldn't be too difficult to mount a pair of stainless "U" bolts, one in the gator hatch and the other below it next to the sail mast. Then get a cable lock like they pack with a new handgun.

Try to round up a SS file cabinet lock or mailbox lock, should be around $15.
