out for blood. La jolla 9/20

Well.....out for my blood knot at least. Took a shower in the surf on the way out around 4 this morning, no squid, plenty of macs. Drop a healthy greenie and GAME ON. about 5 minutes in, game over. Snapped at te blood knot. Looked frayed from the guides. Oh well. Got more macs. Drop another on my backup rig, BENDO. Look down and sure enough, bolts straight for the kelp. Popped off after about 15 minutes. The ocean was angry today. Big swells and almost puked up my 8 cups of coffee. Shoulda gone surfing.

You don't always get two shots at fish. Make Sure you get things corrected before your next trip.

how was the fog? Was it real thick, or not too bad?

Sorry about the drenching, but two big bites is encouraging.

You were out fishing while I was working, just that thought makes me want to puke.

Fog wasn't too bad. Way more dense inland.

Thanks! That is what I wanted to hear. I really don't like that thick fog. One day I was with a guy in the thick fog, and his buddy had gone straight in, as he had been circled by a large fin..... double uncomfortable. another day I had no idea which way the beach was, and the waves didn't help.

Now I bring a compass. Sometimes that fog comes in too fast.

Rough waters.

Yep, I was out this morning too. I saw both your hookups which was two more than I had. Anyways, I have never got sea sick on countless yak and boat trips, but I too almost coughed up breakfast. Rough stuff! I guess that's what I get after making fun of a buddy who threw chunks for the first time minutes before.
Better luck next time...!
