I really like using the liberator arm mounted to a ram mount on my revo. The seaweed problem is minimal and no problem to clear. I keep the arm joint loose so I can bend it above the water when passing through thick kelp or traveling over a distance. It would be in the way if you use a paddle but not a problem with the mirage pedal. The sonar reading and especially the water temp is more accurate than the inside hull mount. There is an additional advantage if you have more than one boat - it is very easy to transfer from one to the other.
