Andy woulda probably called this another "thresher bycatch" Trolled a yozuri from sunup till 11:30 with no love on the T's..did see 1 hooked and another jump..Put on a mack and took a 30 min nap..wokeup in the kelp with a dead mack but at least I gained some energy.. got back to fishin with a fresh mack and shortly after zing #1...this fish was pissed off!! 1st run was up, out, and fast!!..almost surfaced and then came right back at me!! Thought for sure shark.. tookoff again and then into the kelp... confused as hell and uhoooo no spectra Pulled hard with my 40 lb. ande and 5/0 gorilla hook finally felt the stringers pop (which I thought was my line for a second) and got the fish up...was def a pleasant surprise 42# @ pac coast scale... a baby compared to the one caught the day b4 by mr.....
