Newport Harbor
since either of us has fished here. It was a nice cool morning (low tide) that turned sunny and a bit breezy. Mad Daddy is catching on to the bay bass as he got 9 fish evenly spaced throughout the day to my almost 1 fish. Good thing for me the wager was "Big Fish Buys". I wasn't close enough to get a photo of the bigger ones but here's a couple shots. |

Nice fish! Mind if I ask what you were using? I troll the rocks for a bit every time I go, but tend not to yield any consistant results.
If you ever need an extra, I've been going once every other week.

Thanks to Kaya and her best friend for another fun day on the bay. I used a 4 inch Big Hammer smeared with Pro Cure Calico Cocktail and a Red Hammer head. Caught all but one fish on the same one. Pretty amazing how durable they are. Only when I was home cleaning up my gear did I notice how chewed up it was. We drifted out to the bait barge in the morning then rode the tide and paddled to the ferry for lunch. Then the wind blew us back to the CG station. Fish were spaced pretty evenly throughout the day.
