Don't drink and shop.

Uprgraded from a 2011 to 2012 brand new Pro Angler yesterday, and than was in the market for a fish finder. I was eyeing the 597ci, the HDS5x and after a Burrito and a beer at Chipotle, I just sucked it up and pulled the trigger.

At least I've earned a few air miles in the last two days

Curious why you chose this one, over the HM 597ci HD DI?

Don't forget to send in for the $50 rebate Lowrance is offering right now. That's some more beer money back in your pocket!

I just heard from a few people, as well as doing a lot of reading on line and testing in the store that the HDS5 is the way to go.

It's only money....they'll print more tomorrow.

Loving my Gen2 HDS-5! I think you made the right choice.

I've been looking at them(and a couple others) for a couple of months now, I've even had them in my cart with my finger on the button on more than one occasion...a little more detail as to what sealed the deal for you specifically would be greatly appreciated. By the time I pick one their going to be outdated!

thanks!
