WTB Kayak for fishing

Hello Everyone! I’ve been lurking on here for a while, but posting for the first time.
After getting bit by the fishing bug, my friend kept on telling me how great it is fish on a kayak.

So I need a kayak setup, I have budget of $500.
Any good deals will be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I ‘m in socal.

If you dont mind 2 seaters theres a tandum for $220 that would leave you with some extra cash for a bait tank seat or whatever you will need

The friend he was talking about is me, basically we were checking on craigslist almost everyday, and still couldn't find a deal we hoping to get.

So checking to see if anyone on BWE have any good kayak for sell with this price range, which haven't post online yet.

Yeah , have been watching CL for a few week .. either the seller want too much for what they have or its to big for me to transport. I try to get something 13' and under...

and I definitely would like to get one from the cool people of BWE.

I've got this used Tarpon 160i (16ft) that is collecting dust in my garage since I bought my new PA.

I got into the kayak fishing thing a year or so ago and the Tarpon served me well on many trips to LJ and the Bay, she's pretty quick and loaded for fishing. I paid $900 for it but would let it go to you for $500.

My Tarpon160i comes with;
Full foot operated rudder with upgraded cables
Hummingbird fishfinder / GPS
Hobie Livewell with paddle leash
Pelican cased 12V battery that powers both the Fishfinder and the Livewell (it stores up front under the hatch)
A Ritchie compass
3 Ram mounts With rod holders
A Comfy "crack of dawn" high back seat with a bag and two additional rod holders built into it.
A like new Warner Carbon fiber paddle I paid $189 for at OEX

I'm in the East County San Diego are (Lakeside / Santee) if interested just shoot me a msg with your # and I'll reply with pics this weekend (I got to take her down from the overhead in my garage).

Wow!!! That's a deal I paid 700 for mine. Are you interested in parting out some stuff? Also how much of a difference does that rudder make?

CrankDD came by and picked up the 160I and all the accesories last night. I got some flak from the Wife for letting it go so cheap but I had my fun with it and it was not getting used like it used to.

He's just getting into the sport so I thought keeping it positive by giving him a killer deal was a good thing. I'm sure he's gonna love it's speed and getting towed by some beasts once he hooks up out there.

Just trying to pay it forward a little at a time whenever I can, what goes around comes around

I really want to Thank Aaron and Greg for Hooking it up.
Now we have two more Guys ready to go Kayak fishing and a third is coming. I was a little worried about picking up two Kayak on a roof rack,
crossing my fingers not to lose one on the freeway.

It was a great trip to drive down to SD, get to see some of my freinds too. You guy really rock
Oh yeah lastly, did I score that BWE big F'king deal of the year? Hell yeah!

That was an amazing deal. Looks like you won't be winning the lottery any time soon since you've used up all your luck!
