What are the things you need to know before you head out?

Saw a post from one of our members posting some of the apps he use before he heads out. What are the good sites to do some prep work before you guys head out? Swell, tide, water temperture, current, weather, and etc.

a good toilet and i try to launch between the low and mid high tide mark... easier to find space on the sand. My Verizon Commando came with some cool tide, moon and weather apps.

How to kayak. Knowing how to fish is optional

DIY leashes...

Hi guys,

Anyone have some tips on making my own leashes. Too expensive to buy prefab ones! I'm just getting started in this new fishery and would like to make as much on my own as I can.
