If anybody cares- I didn't find any squid, 61.1 degrees, plenty of fin bait near the kelp, very clear water. Saw one of the oldtimer BWE guys at the launch. Thats always cool. Played with this mystery fish for a while Wished I could have flung a croc into this melee Thought about pulling the night session, but I'm kicking a cold around right now, and I'm afraid of the dark . Soon it should be gametime... |

What the heck?!? Looks like a plastic decoy, or something not of this ocean. Any other pictures of it?

Steve didnt see ya buddy....
Deadzone USA.... Ladies and Gentelemen it is a very very unhappy Mola Mola, with no fins. The sealions dont actually eat them they prefer to chew off theyre fins and toss them around like frisbees until they die then they continue the game till they decompose and disintigrate, this ones on its way to the disintegration mill. I saw a few live ones and tried to whisper to them what theyre future would hold but they didnt listen and stuck around... Pinche Mola Mola |

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Birds had also pecked this one's eyes out, but it was still very much alive and trying to swim. Creepy and gross. Sorry I missed you, and ya, Deadzone USA. |

we should compile footage and make a horror flick...
The Last Mola And make it all dark and gruesome like one of those rob zombie horror movies..... Or insert the gopro into the actual carcass of the mola and toss him back to the dogs to really capture the feeling. |

Better yet, we should collect a whole mess of them and dump their teensy-tiny savaged little bodies at the feet of the environmental wackos over at the children's pool.
Then, as they stare down in horror at the innocent creatures gasping and shuddering at their feet, we could calmly explain that this was the handiwork of their beloved seals. Perhaps we could even point out that they are not flippered puppies, they are predators. Cue Elton John's "Circle of Life". |
