brazing rings

I picked up 30 jigs today for $20 at a yardsale only problem is, the rings and hooks were cut off. Stopped by Performance and got the rings, and asked how do I close them up. "just braze them with a torch" was what they told me. so where do i buy "Braze" at? home depot and lowes employees were of no help.

Before you go out and buy any brazing equipment you might consider this....

Squidco does "in house" jig brazing every Tuesday. They do an excellent job and the turn around is fast. They a solder with a high silver content.
It's inexpensive - about $2. I believe.

New hooks are an additional cost. I recommend the Owner Stinger - 66 Trebles.

Squidco is kind of a far drive for me. I got a neighbor that works in A/C and another thats a Millwright, and a welder at work, got the silver solder but forgot to get map gas, maybe next week.

I use this:

http://www.google.com/products/catal...ed=0CEoQ8wIwAg#

and this:

http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...atalogId=10053

It takes a little practice to get the right amount of heat.

You need to shop in the Lemon Grove Home depot, lots of use there have knowledge of what we carry and how to use our product in use for building home to jigs, Our hardware dept had the tools you would need. An lots of retired navy welders to give u any tips. Roger in the electrical dept will be more that helpful, plus he is a angler too, or Casey in hardware, Oldschool angler..... So not all Home Depots are alike.

Sorry if I offended you, I should have said the Long Beach Lowes and the Cypress Home Depot. Lemon Grove is still too far. Thanks for the info though.
On a side note all of the jigs got blasted and look good they have about a 28 RA surface finish for those that know. I might have a few anodized just to see how they hold up. Tonite I when I get home my neighbor the millwright is taking them to tig the rigs so by friday I should be slinging paint.
