What I did is tie some 20lb to the hook then pressed down on the sides of the hook and put pressure on the bar so it was at the top of the skin. Level so the bard was just under the skin and hook was level. James was in his kayak next to me and a little behind he wrapped the line around a screw driver to have a better grip then pulled quick. All I felt was a tug and that was it. Bleed for 10 minutes and that was it. Used some hydrogen peroxide on it when I got home no problem.
