Much Better
I launched at about 6:00 to the typical offshore breeze, but it was cold too. My hand and toes were numb by the time I was out of the harbor. There was some cloud cover that pretty much stayed all morning. Water was right around 58º every where with a nice stain to it. Tried a few casts at the jetty, but only one lost fish. By 7:00 I was on the pipe and on the first cast dumped a really nice one. There was a follower though that took the bait right away. Between 7:00 and 9:00ish I had 5 fish and must have missed 10 or 15. I just couldn't seem to be quick enough, they were super quick hard strikes. Then from 9:00 to 11:15 I got 9 more, plus a baby BSB. I was still missing some, but seem to find a groove that worked. Fished from about 45'-60' with the 50' zone producing best. I threw quite a few colors today, but Redfish and Gold Chovy Flurries were the ticket. The Baby Bass Swimmin Fluke by Zoom got few too including a calico that was about 4lbs. Hot Sauce was used too. I think that the second half of the mornings success had a lot to do with 2 factors. 1, I switched to the 3" Flurry and 2, I switched to my 8# rig. met a nice guy in a Hobie, but forgot to get his name. Perhaps he posts here. So, overall it was a fun day and I look forward to more like it.

How cute...
It looks like a Black Sea Bass; only smaller.

Didn't see any this week. Saw a huge pod of commons though and lots of bait. I'll keep you posted.
