transducer re wipe - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

I have my humming bird transducer goped to my hull want to try a wet mount.can any one tell me if I remove the transducer and clean up the dried gooped can I reuse or will I have to replace the transducer with a new one

If you used Goop, then you can peel it off and reuse the transducer.

I have pried them off and sand the epoxy off them and they still work fine. My new one I ground off all the plastic off the top so it would fit in the scrubber hole on my prowler(made for a throu hull mount) Lot of material came off and it works perfect. I think you would really have to work hard to screw one up.
