LJ Surf launch and landing party 4/13
LJ Surf launch and landing party
Wednesday 4/13/11 4pm till .... With all the recent posts about yard sales and such ... . . . I will be there and practice going out and in without any gear. If you want to get some practice, see how others launch/land, and gain some experience, then come on down. Weather will be nice, hopefully the waves will be high. Greg (aka Regor) |

Ok, so it was a party of one today
Except for a certain someone who was coming in from a day of fishing (thx for the tips). I went out, I went in, went out, went in. Got appx 1.5 hours in. Water was chilly, wind was blowing, temps were 60 degrees, swells were high with quick intervals, and waves ..... oh yeah Some would say a bad day to practice, but I think otherwise. Every launch was successful. Landings, well,,,,,, they were a little rough, but I got some valuable lessons out of today's exercise. I'll take 2-3' waves any day in the future after today's 5' +. |

I was thinking about going out tomorrow so i made a quick stop at the shores today.
It was ugly!!! sloppy, washy, windy, and cold. looked like a washing maching out there. If you did good in those conditions today... you are good to go I think i'll go friday. |
